Electric Fence Installation in Kilifi

Hakimi Tech recently completed an electric fence installation at a residential property in Kilifi. The project focused on improving perimeter security while securing the property’s two gates and maintaining a neat finish around the residence.

Our team installed a Nemtek Wizard 2i Energizer to power the electric fence system. We also fitted galvanized electric fence insulator poles around the boundary to provide strong support and maintain the correct positioning of the fence wires.

For the electric fence lines, we used a 25kg roll of 1.6mm high-tensile galvanized electric fence wire. The strong galvanized wire provides a durable barrier that can withstand outdoor conditions while maintaining reliable fence performance.

Alarm and Perimeter Protection

To improve the property’s security response, our technicians installed a siren and strobe light kit, alarm wire, and fence indicator light. These components work together to provide visual and audible alerts when the electric fence detects an intrusion or interference.

We also installed earth rods to provide proper grounding for the energizer. In addition, our team placed warning signs along the perimeter to clearly indicate the presence of an electric fence.

Since the property has two gates, we paid special attention to the gate areas. Our technicians installed gate springs and carefully connected the electric fence system around both entrances to maintain continuous perimeter protection.

Challenges During the Installation

The site presented several challenges that required careful planning from our technicians.

One challenge came from the trees growing along the boundary wall. Some branches and vegetation were close to the planned electric fence lines. Our team trimmed the branches that could come into contact with the fence.

Keeping the vegetation away from the electric fence helps prevent unwanted contact. It also reduces the risk of false alarms caused by branches touching the live fence wires.

The second challenge involved the cabro paving around the residence. The paving covered the area where the team needed to install the undergate cable.

Our technicians carefully removed the necessary sections of cabro to create a suitable path for the undergate cable. After installing and securing the cable, they placed the cabro back into position to maintain the property’s original appearance.

Final Security Setup

After completing the installation, our team tested the Nemtek Wizard 2i Energizer, alarm system, fence indicator light, grounding system, and gate sections. We also checked the fence lines and vegetation around the perimeter to ensure everything operated correctly.

The completed installation now provides the residence with an active electric perimeter security system covering the property and its two gates.
